Napoleon Cake according to GOST
Description
Baking is simple and quick. Napoleon cake is a delicious pastry made of puff pastry layered with a delicate cream. Homemade Napoleon cake is many times tastier than store‑bought, so I see no reason not to try making this little cake. The recipe for Napoleon is very simple; it only requires a bit of time and a good mood :) The baking is ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Butter should be cut into small cubes.
- 2
Step 2

Mix butter, flour, and baking powder.
- 3
Step 3

Grind into crumbs.
- 4
Step 4

Pour the beer into the dry mixture in a thin stream.
- 5
Step 5

Knead a soft, elastic dough.
- 6
Step 6

Divide our dough into 8 parts, wrap each in plastic film — and refrigerate for an hour or two. In the meantime you can prepare custard cream (the recipe is on this site), or you can skip it and make a cake, for example, with condensed milk.
- 7
Step 7

Take the ready dough out of the refrigerator and roll a crust from each ball.
- 8
Step 8

Using a mold (for example, a square plate) we give the crusts the desired square shape. Prick each crust with a fork in several places. Bake each crust separately, for about 10–12 minutes in an oven preheated to 200 degrees.
- 9
Step 9

Cool the ready layers.
- 10
Step 10

Spread the layers with our cream (or condensed milk, depending on what you use).
- 11
Step 11

Do not spread the top layer. Wrap the cake in cling film and place it in a cool place (but not in the refrigerator) overnight.
- 12
Step 12

From the remaining dough scraps, form a crust of any shape, bake it like the previous ones, and then crumble it into crumbs.
- 13
Step 13

Now spread the cream on the top layer and the sides of the cake, and sprinkle everything with the crumb we made.
- 14
Step 14

Let the cake rest for a while, then slice and serve. Enjoy!
