Quick-fix cake
Description
Delicious baking for the whole family. You can make a quick "Napoleon" cake using ready-made puff pastry, but we're not taking the easiest route :) This slightly longer version of a quick "Napoleon" cake will take just a bit more time, but it will be much tastier. Just the fact that you've made every step yourself, with love, will give the cake a special flavor. Isn't that right? :) So let's get started—and good luck to you! Serve with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Chop the margarine with flour using a knife. Or rub with your hands into crumbs.
- 2
Step 2

Add water mixed with vinegar and knead the dough well.
- 3
Step 3

Divide the dough into 12 parts.
- 4
Step 4

Roll out a piece of dough to the desired size.
- 5
Step 5

Place the trimmed dough on a baking sheet, make cuts with a knife or prick with a fork. Put it in a preheated oven and bake at 220 degrees.
- 6
Step 6

The layers bake very quickly, so don't dawdle—roll out the remaining pieces promptly.
- 7
Step 7

Once all the cake layers are baked, we start making the cream. Beat room-temperature butter with condensed milk. You can add a tablespoon of cognac or brandy :)
- 8
Step 8

Grind the shelled nuts.
- 9
Step 9

Spread cream on each cake layer. You can sprinkle with chopped nuts.
- 10
Step 10

When you place the last layer, carefully put a large cutting board on top and gently press all the cake layers together. Don't press too hard!!! Then spread cream over the top layer and sprinkle with chopped nuts. Chances are, one of your layers will get slightly burnt—I know from personal experience :)—so you can break off the unburnt, lighter pieces, crush them, and use this crumb to decorate the cake.
