Christening cake
Description
When choosing a cake for a child's christening, you should remember that the decoration must be delicate and unobtrusive. You can make it in a neutral style, or you can choose colors depending on the baby's gender. Try serving it cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

To make the sponge cake, beat the eggs with sugar.
- 2
Step 2

Separately bring the milk and butter to a boil. Gently fold the flour with baking soda and the milk‑butter mixture into the fluffy egg mass.
- 3
Step 3

Pour the prepared dough into a baking pan. Place it in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 45–60 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

Let the finished sponge cake cool and cut it into 2–3 layers.
- 5
Step 5

For the cream, whisk the cream with powdered sugar. Add cream cheese.
- 6
Step 6

Soak each layer with pineapple juice, spread with cream, and top with pineapple pieces.
- 7
Step 7

Assemble the cake, spreading each layer with cream. Coat it on all sides with cream and place it in the refrigerator for several hours so that it becomes well soaked and sets.
- 8
Step 8

And decorate the outside accordingly to the occasion. I ended up with a cake like this for a boy's christening. Have a great celebration!
