Cake for two years
Description
The recipe won't take much time. If you're curious, serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine fruit puree, fructose, vegetable oil, and baking soda neutralized with lemon juice. Mix well, then add four cups of sifted flour. Knead into a thick dough.
- 2
Step 2
Roll out the dough into layers and bake each for 15–20 minutes at 200 degrees.
- 3
Step 3
Using a plate, trim the cake layers to make them round with even edges. Do not discard the trimmings—crush them to make crumbs.
- 4
Step 4
In a small saucepan, heat the milk with the butter. Bring to a boil, then add the fructose and flour. Cook over low heat for five minutes, stirring constantly to prevent the cream from burning.
- 5
Step 5
Cool the cream and use it to fill the layers, assembling the cake. Sprinkle the top with crushed leftover pieces of the layers.
- 6
Step 6
Place the finished cake in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, then decorate with fondant figures and candles.
