Cake for a 7-year-old boy's birthday
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. I'm presenting a somewhat complex recipe for a birthday cake for a 7-year-old boy. The dessert consists of two different cake layers, cherry syrup, whipped cream, and other elements of "sweet decoration." The cake turns out delicious and rich, which a child will surely love. Good luck!
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Mix half a cup of sugar, 100 grams of softened butter, and 170 grams of flour. Knead the dough and spread it into a baking pan, prick with a fork. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes at 170 degrees.

Step 2

Separate the eggs into yolks and whites. Beat 100 grams of butter with a cup of sugar, then add the yolks, continuing to beat.
- 3
Step 3

Melt the chocolate and pour it into the egg-butter mixture. Also add the chopped almonds, 100 grams of flour, 2 tablespoons of starch, and the baking powder. Mix until smooth.
- 4
Step 4

Beat the egg whites with 1 tbsp of sugar until fluffy foam forms.
- 5
Step 5

Gently fold the egg whites into the sponge cake batter.
- 6
Step 6

Transfer the dough into a baking pan (two pans), lined with parchment paper, and bake in the oven for 35 minutes at 170 degrees.
- 7
Step 7

Let's prepare cherry syrup. Drain the juice from frozen cherries, add 2-3 tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon. Heat the syrup over low heat until it comes to a boil. Now add starch diluted with water. Stir and remove from heat.
- 8
Step 8

Whip the cream. You can add a thickener to make the cream richer.
- 9
Step 9

Cover the shortbread crust with cherry jam. Place cherries on the layers (biscuit and shortbread).
- 10
Step 10

On top, place the whipped cream.
- 11
Step 11

Form the cake by stacking the layers on top of each other and alternating them with cherry syrup.
- 12
Step 12

Decorate the top of the cake with whipped cream and grated chocolate. Place the cake in the refrigerator to set for several hours.
