Cake for March 8
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Here is the recipe, which can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

For one cake layer, we need: 1 egg, 120 g sugar, 120 g sour cream, 80 g flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 15 g starch.
- 2
Step 2

Prepare a separate filling for each cake layer in advance: raisins, poppy seeds, cocoa powder, and nuts. Pour water (150 ml) over poppy seeds (75 g), cook until the liquid has completely evaporated, then blend using a blender or meat grinder. Chop walnuts into coarse crumbs. Soak raisins in boiling water for 15 minutes, drain through a sieve, and dry.
- 3
Step 3

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a 24-cm baking dish and dust it with flour. Mix together the flour, starch, and baking powder. Beat the egg with sugar until light and fluffy, then add sour cream and mix.
- 4
Step 4

Add the flour mixture to the dough and mix. The dough will be thin and pourable. Add the nuts.
- 5
Step 5

Pour the batter into the prepared pan, place in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool slightly in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- 6
Step 6

Do the same with the remaining layers: with poppy seeds;
- 7
Step 7

with raisins;
- 8
Step 8

For the chocolate layer, add cocoa powder to the flour mixture and reduce the flour by 1 tablespoon. Prepare the batter for each layer just before baking to preserve the leavening agent's effectiveness.
- 9
Step 9

Mix the sour cream with powdered sugar and spread it over the cooled cake layers. Let it sit at room temperature for 1.5 hours to soak.
- 10
Step 10

For the cream, beat the chilled cream until soft peaks form. While continuing to beat, gradually add the condensed milk (I used homemade).
- 11
Step 11

Assemble the cake, layering the cake rounds with buttercream. Leave in a cool place for 2-3 hours.
- 12
Step 12

Then decorate as desired. For example, you can sprinkle the top with cocoa powder and garnish with whipped cream.
- 13
Step 13

Ready. Serve at the table.
