Cake for 30 years
Description
The recipe won't take much time. To make a cake for a 30th birthday, you need to bake many layers, preferably of different colors. What I love about this cake is that it turns out to be versatile. This dessert is suitable not only for a birthday, but also for New Year's, for example. Check out the recipe. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Pour sugar into a bowl, add melted butter and mix. Sift flour into a separate bowl.
- 2
Step 2

Add sour cream and baking soda to the sugar and butter, mix well.
- 3
Step 3

Add half of the flour and knead the dough.
- 4
Step 4

Divide the dough into two parts, add cocoa to one of them. Then add the remaining flour to each part and knead until you get an elastic dough.
- 5
Step 5

Divide the dough into equal parts: you'll get three layers of each color.
- 6
Step 6

Roll out the dough and fit it evenly into a greased pan. Bake the layers for about 8 minutes at 200°C. Prick them with a fork to prevent puffing.
- 7
Step 7

While the cake layers are still warm, trim them to fit the dish in which our cake will be placed (for example, a large plate). The trimmings can later be crumbled and used as a topping.
- 8
Step 8

Here are the even cake layers you get.
- 9
Step 9

Roast the nuts or, better yet, bake them in the oven, then remove the shells.
- 10
Step 10

Cream: beat the sour cream, gradually adding sugar.
- 11
Step 11

The layers should be spread with cream and sprinkled with nuts.
- 12
Step 12

Layered all the cakes one by one. I leave the black one on top.
- 13
Step 13

For soaking, place the cake in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. For preparing the cream: it can be sour cream (if the sour cream is sufficiently fatty) or buttercream.
- 14
Step 14

You can also make praline cream: add praline paste to the butter with sugar or condensed milk and whip.
- 15
Step 15

The finished 30th birthday cake can be decorated in various ways: by making stripes, sprinkling with nuts, or placing numbers made from fondant. That's it!
