Cake for 1 year old
Description
The baking is simple and quick. For the 1-year-old birthday cake, I made a basic sponge cake batter (you can use the "chocolate with boiling water" recipe, but it's more hassle). Take eggs, flour, sugar, baking powder, whisk and bake—this gives you cake layers. You can also use store-bought ones. I sometimes make the fondant myself, but I've realized that store-bought is much better and more reliable. The main thing is to make a rich, thick cream under the fondant so it doesn't spread later.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

While the cakes are baking, prepare the fondant.
- 2
Step 2

Paint it (any colors can be used).
- 3
Step 3

If you don't have a baking tray, make one from a regular tray—place a berry container on top and cover it with plastic wrap.
- 4
Step 4

Instead of a topping cream, you can simply whip the cream well.
- 5
Step 5

Place the soaked cake layers neatly in the shape of a one. On top, you can arrange the berries (without seeds).
- 6
Step 6

Spread with topping cream.
- 7
Step 7

And so, several layers. Top - crust.
- 8
Step 8

Make a thick cream from condensed milk and butter, adding chocolate.
- 9
Step 9

Grease the cake on all sides.
- 10
Step 10

Roll out the fondant and tightly cover the entire cake. This, of course, requires some skill.
- 11
Step 11

I'll add, before I forget: after each step, put the cake in the refrigerator, otherwise it might melt during decoration. Use the remaining fondant to make various decorations and you can also form the name.
- 12
Step 12

This is the amazing cake you get for a 1-year celebration.
