Description

Cakes shaped like cartoon characters, Barbie dolls, and favorite toys are very popular with children. If you want to bring joy to your little one, and if you can bake even a little, you can prepare a beautiful dessert for a children's party. The baking is ready. Serve it at the table.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Bake sponge cakes using any recipe or buy ready-made ones from the store. Cut each one into three parts – three rounds.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Prepare the cream for spreading between the cake layers. We'll make a cottage cheese and sour cream filling. Blend the cottage cheese with a blender or rub it through a sieve. Whip the cream with powdered sugar, then gently fold it into the cottage cheese.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

And we'll need one more cream for the cake. Beat the soft butter until fluffy, then gradually add condensed milk, one spoon at a time. Beat until smooth and well combined.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Cut out the template according to which we will trim the sponge cakes. Cut out a circle the same size as the sponge cakes, and draw the base of the bear—its bottom, legs, and paws—inside it.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Place the template on the biscuit

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

And cut out two cake layers

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Then take two cake layers and cut them according to the template, but without the legs, since this will be the bear cub's body.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

Spread the cream on the layers that were cut out using the template. You can add fruit slices.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

Let's proceed to shaping the paws. Take biscuit scraps, cut out paw pads and two long strips to round the edges of the paws. Spread with cream and shape the paws.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

Now let's proceed to creating the head. From two sponge cake layers, cut out 2 larger ovals and 2 smaller ones. Place the small oval at the bottom, then the two larger ones, and the small oval on top. Spread with cream and stack them together.

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

Cut out a piece for the upper paws/arms from the leftover biscuit, attach them to the body using cream. Place the cake in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.

  12. 12

    Step 12

    Step 12

Take out the cake, use a sharp knife to trim off the excess. Round off the parts that should be round: the paws and the head.

  13. 13

    Step 13

    Step 13

Grind the biscuit trimmings into crumbs and mix with the butter and condensed milk cream. Use this mixture to coat the cake, smoothing it out, so the cake starts taking the shape of a bear.

  14. 14

    Step 14

    Step 14

Put it back in the refrigerator.

  15. 15

    Step 15

    Step 15

Color the fondant with food coloring to the desired shade—gray or brown for the "fur," leave white for the face, and choose any color you like for the nose. Start making the "fur" for the teddy bear. Pass a piece of fondant through a garlic press, then use a knife to cut off the "fur" pieces.

  16. 16

    Step 16

    Step 16

Here's what pieces of "wool" we end up with.

  17. 17

    Step 17

    Step 17

Let's start creating the teddy bear. First, make the smooth parts - paw pads, face, nose, patches, ears. Then attach the cream "fur" on top. That's it. Let the cake chill in the refrigerator for about 5 hours to soak.

  18. 18

    Step 18

    Step 18

And this little bear has "fur" made of buttercream.
