Cake
Description
The recipe won't take much time. How to make the "Lisa Simpson" cake at home? The sponge cake and sour cream cream are very easy to prepare. Working with fondant, however, is much more difficult. I recommend refrigerating the cake for 1 hour before applying the fondant, so it can set. To cut shapes or details from fondant, you'll need a special pastry knife and, of course, some practice. I hope everything works out for you! Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the egg whites with sugar and vanilla.
- 2
Step 2

To the thickened egg whites, add the beaten eggs. Beat with a mixer.
- 3
Step 3

Gradually add the sifted flour, mixing the dough with a spatula.
- 4
Step 4

Grease the baking pan with butter. Pour the batter into it and bake the sponge cake in the oven for 25-30 minutes at 180 degrees.
- 5
Step 5

Remove the square biscuit from the mold and let it cool slightly.
- 6
Step 6

Let's prepare the cream. Blend the sour cream with powdered sugar and cottage cheese using a blender.
- 7
Step 7

Cut the sponge cake into three layers and soak each layer with sugar syrup. Spread the layers with cream and stack them on top of each other. Shape into a square cake, then cover the top and sides with cream.
- 8
Step 8

Color the fondant with food coloring according to the instructions on the package. You will need yellow, red, and pink food coloring. Leave a portion of the fondant uncolored.
- 9
Step 9

Roll out the fondant, cover the cake. Use a sharp knife to cut out the necessary details and arrange them to form Lisa Simpson.
