Cake
Description
When making dough, it is crucial to catch that exact moment when the dough is kneaded. If it sticks to the work surface and the specified amount of flour has been used up, dust the table with flour and roll out the crust. You shouldn’t roll out a crust of larger diameter; it will be very dry after baking. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients. The butter should be at room temperature.
- 2
Step 2

In a cup, add flour (2.5 cups), salt, eggs, milk.
- 3
Step 3

Knead a soft dough. If the dough sticks to your hands, add another 0.5 cup in portions, but no more, so as not to overload the dough with flour.
- 4
Step 4

Divide the dough into two unequal parts. Divide each part further into three parts. In the end you should get 6 balls: 3 large and 3 small.
- 5
Step 5

Roll each ball into a disc. The diameter of the large disc is 20 cm, the small one 12–14 cm.
- 6
Step 6

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the layers on a water‑sprayed baking tray. Make punctures in the layers with a knife. Put them to bake in the hot oven for 20 minutes. Bake all the preparations.
- 7
Step 7

Cool the finished layers.
- 8
Step 8

Trim the cooled layers. Blend the trimmings of the layers in a blender.
- 9
Step 9

Prepare the cream. Beat the soft butter with condensed milk into a fluffy mass.
- 10
Step 10

Spread each layer with cream.
- 11
Step 11

Slightly press the layers together so they stick. Sprinkle both parts with crumbs and join the larger piece with the smaller one.
- 12
Step 12

Let the cake soak for 2 hours, then garnish with berries.
- 13
Step 13

The “Lyubava” cake is ready.
