Cake
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. Here is a recipe for the "Flower Basket" cake. To decorate the cake, I used two types of chocolate fondant. For creating the basket weave, use fondant made from chocolate, glucose syrup, and glycerin. For the handles, which should be firmer, it's better to use chocolate fondant with honey. Happy baking! Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Step 1

Spread the buttercream over the prepared biscuit base, smoothing it evenly across the entire surface. Cut out a circle from paper, with a diameter equal to that of the future cake. Fold the paper into 12 equal sections, then place it on top of the cake. Use a knife to make marks along the side of the cake, effectively dividing it into 12 equal sectors. Then divide each sector in half again, marking with the knife.

Step 2

Roll out sausage-shaped strips from the fondant, slightly taller than the cake. Attach them to the frosting.

Step 3

Looks approximately like this.

Step 4

Make the basket weave. To do this, roll out the fondant thinly and cut strips 7-8 cm long with a knife. Insert them between the "slats".
- 5
Step 5

Thus, we create an entire basket. On top, make a border of braided fondant.

Step 6

Roll two handles for the basket out of the fondant, place them in the refrigerator for a short time to harden better, then attach them to the cake.

Step 7

Fill the basket with flowers. They can also be made from fondant, or you can use fresh or decorative ones.
