Kefir cake
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. Kefir cake has always held a special place among dessert and sweet baking recipes. It's not too difficult to prepare, and the ingredients are easy to find. The cake turns out quite large, so there will be enough for both family members and guests. For making the kefir cake, one pack of kefir is enough for me—that's approximately 0.5 liters. It all depends on how dense you want your cake to be and the texture of the dough you desire. I recommend aiming for a denser consistency so that the cake layers are easier to slice later. The baking is ready. Serve at the table.

Step 1

Make the dough. Mix cocoa and sugar in a container. In another bowl, mix kefir and baking soda.

Step 2

Pour the kefir into the sugar. Beat the eggs and add them as well. Gradually add the flour and mix the dough. Also, melt the butter and add it to the dough.

Step 3

We make two cake layers and put them in the oven to bake (later we'll cut them in half to get four layers). While the layers are baking, we prepare the cream: beat the condensed milk and butter together until smooth. Let the baked layers cool completely.

Step 4

Cut the cake layers, making the bottom one the thickest. Spread the cream on the layers and stack them together. Set aside to let it soak. Meanwhile, prepare the ganache—the chocolate cream for the top of the cake. Bring the cream to a boil, add the chocolate, and mix until smooth. Spread the ganache over the top of the cake.

Step 5

We put the finished cake in the refrigerator for several hours to let it soak. Serve the ready kefir cake with tea or coffee.
