Cake
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Even an inexperienced cook can make the "Kalter Hund" cake. It's a very tasty and the simplest cake I've ever tried. In translation, the cake has a rather interesting name—Cold Dog, most likely due to the association with a cold, wet dog's nose. In any case, it will surely delight your entire family. I highly recommend trying this delicate no-bake dessert, as it requires only common ingredients, yet the result is absolutely worth it. The ready dessert can now be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients from the list. Brew the instant coffee with boiling water. For this recipe, you need shortbread cookies; "Yubileynoye" cookies are perfect. This amount of ingredients yields one cake measuring 20×10×5 cm.
- 2
Step 2

Beat the eggs with half of the sugar.
- 3
Step 3

In a saucepan, combine the butter, remaining sugar, cocoa, and coffee. Place over heat.
- 4
Step 4

Constantly stirring, wait until the butter melts.
- 5
Step 5

Combine with beaten eggs, bring the mixture to a boil, but do not boil. Whip and cool.
- 6
Step 6

Line the inside of a 20x10x5 cm mold with plastic wrap or foil. Spread a thin layer of cream on the bottom.
- 7
Step 7

For the cream — a row of cookies.
- 8
Step 8

Brush the cookies with liqueur using a brush, then add a layer of cream. I had a little space on the sides, so I added one more cookie on each side.
- 9
Step 9

Repeat this up to the top of the mold, soaking each layer of cookies with liqueur.
- 10
Step 10

Do not spread the last row of cookies with cream.
- 11
Step 11

Wrap with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate the cake for 2-3 hours, or preferably overnight.
- 12
Step 12

Unfold the foil, cover with a plate and flip it over. Remove the mold and the remaining foil. Sprinkle the cake with cocoa and, if desired, decorate with walnuts.
- 13
Step 13

The "Kalter Hund" cake is ready. So simple and quick, we get an excellent no-bake chocolate cake that will undoubtedly be a highlight at any gathering over a cup of tea or coffee.
