Cake made with ready-made layers and fruits
Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. For this cake, I use ready-made sponge cake layers; if you have time and desire, you can make them yourself. Fresh fruits and berries go well with whipped cream. I use fruits not only for decoration but also place them between the layers. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

1. Place one biscuit cake layer on a flat plate and spread 2-3 tablespoons of lemon jam over it. Do the same with the second layer. Let them sit for a while to allow the jam to soak in.

2. Place the heavy cream into the bowl of a mixer, beat with a whisk attachment while gradually adding powdered sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form. Then add vanilla extract and mix with a spatula.

3. Place half of the whipped cream on the first cake layer.

4. Wash the strawberries, currants, and raspberries. Remove the green stems from the strawberries and cut the berries in half. Place the smaller portion of the fruits onto the cake layer brushed with whipped cream.

5. Place the second cake layer on top, gently press it down, and spread the remaining whipped cream over it. Add fruits and refrigerate the cake to chill.
