Description

I first tried the "Adam's Temptation" cake at my friend's house. I loved it from the very first spoonful, learned the recipe for the "Adam's Temptation" cake — and now I'm sharing it with you. Making this cake is a labor-intensive process; you'll need to set aside quite a bit of free time, but there's nothing you won't do to put a homemade, very delicious cake you baked yourself on the table. I hope the "Adam's Temptation" cake recipe will be clear to you. Good luck with the preparation! ;) You can serve it with tea or coffee.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

First, prepare the sponge cake batter. Break the eggs into a small saucepan and add 175 g sugar. Cook over low heat until the sugar dissolves, then beat the mixture until elastic on medium mixer speed for 10–15 minutes. Sift the flour and starch into the mixture and mix thoroughly.

    Step 2

    Step 2

Pour the batter into a 27 cm baking pan and bake for 30 minutes at 180°C. Cool the finished sponge cake on a wire rack.

Now we will make orange cream. To do this, mix lemon zest, lemon juice, 75 g sugar, egg yolks, 30 g flour, and salt in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Place over heat and cook for 2 minutes after it comes to a boil. Remove the orange cream from the heat and add half an orange, chopped very finely.

    Step 4

    Step 4

Once the sponge cake has cooled, cut it in half horizontally. Soak the layers with strong tea: brew the tea, dip a brush into it, and brush generously. Spread orange cream over both layers.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Whip the sour cream with 100 g of sugar until creamy. Spread the resulting cream over the cake layers on top of the orange cream. Assemble the cake by stacking one layer on top of another.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

    Chop the walnuts into crumbs.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

In a small saucepan, bring the cream to a boil. Add finely chopped chocolate and 20 g of flour to the boiling cream. Heat until thickened, then add butter, heat a little more, and remove from the heat. Whisk lightly and cool the ganache to room temperature. When the ganache has cooled, spread it evenly over the cake. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.

    Step 8

    Step 8

Place the cake in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, after which it will be ready to serve. ;)
