Description
An incredibly delicious chocolate-nut birthday cake made at home can be a perfect ending to a festive evening. The cake can be decorated to suit any taste, depending on the birthday person's preferences. It can be served with tea or coffee.

1. The recipe for a birthday cake is quite simple and does not require much effort. First, melt about 150 grams of chocolate in a water bath. Add one cup of coffee (for a child's cake, coffee can be replaced with cocoa) and mix thoroughly.

2 Softened butter cream with sugar. Carefully separate egg whites from yolks. Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt and a small amount of sugar until stiff peaks form.

3. Separately beat the egg yolks and gently combine them with the egg whites and butter.

4. Gradually add the melted chocolate and mix thoroughly. Grind part of the nuts (in this version, almonds, but other nuts can be used) into a powder and add to the batter.

10. Cut the cooled cake horizontally into 2 layers. Generously spread one layer with cream and cover with the second layer. Pour the glaze over the top of the cake and refrigerate for 2–4 hours. Before serving, decorate with nuts, fresh berries, or fondant figures.
