Cake
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. This cake looks stunning on the table and has an excellent taste. If you like moist cakes, soak the layers with syrup made with cognac, cream liqueur, or diluted condensed milk before applying the frosting. Use tart, smooth jam or one with small berries. It's best to let the cake chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, but you can serve it immediately. The dessert is ready. Serve and enjoy.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making the "Guests at the Doorstep" cake. Take out the butter and condensed milk in advance so they reach room temperature.
- 2
Step 2

Beat the egg with sugar into a fluffy, light mixture.
- 3
Step 3

Pour milk into the beaten egg and add the jam.
- 4
Step 4

Gently mix the mixture until smooth.
- 5
Step 5

Mix the flour with baking soda and sift into the mixture. Gently stir until you get a smooth, lump-free batter.
- 6
Step 6

Pour the mixture into an 18-centimeter baking pan. The dough should not be higher than half the pan.
- 7
Step 7

Place the pan in a preheated oven and bake at 180°C for 35–45 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted into the cake comes out dry. When you pierce the cake with a toothpick, it should come out dry. Remove the baked cake from the oven and let it stand for 10 minutes, then take it out of the pan.
- 8
Step 8

Cut the cooled cake into four parts.
- 9
Step 9

Combine soft butter and condensed milk. Beat until fluffy.
- 10
Step 10

Melt the chocolate over a water bath, cool it, and pour it into the cream. Whip until smooth and fluffy.
- 11
Step 11

Spread the first part with cream. Place the second part on top and also spread it with cream, then place the third part.
- 12
Step 12

Cover the sides and top with the remaining cream and smooth it out.
- 13
Step 13

Grind the last portion in a blender into crumbs and sprinkle the sides and edges of the cake. Decorate the top as desired; I used berries, mint, and leftover cream. The "Guests at the Doorstep" cake is ready!
