Delicious baked goods for the whole family. This cake, of course, takes time, but it’s very easy to make. Your efforts will not be in vain. The cake turns out soft, airy, delicate, and moderately sweet. The dough here is classic choux pastry, and the cream is sour‑cream. Make the “Ladies’ Fingers” cake and experience true delight.

Prepare the ingredients for making the cake.

Pour water into a pot, place it on the stove, bring it to a boil, and add butter.

When the butter has completely melted into the water, add the flour to the pot.

Using a spoon or spatula, mix a uniform dough. Knead until the dough cleanly releases from the sides of the pot. There should be no lumps.

Let the dough cool a bit and add the eggs one by one. I did it with a mixer, but you can also use a spoon.

It should turn out smooth, homogeneous, glossy, slightly stretchy mass. The dough for the fingers is ready.

Using a pastry bag with a tip, pipe strips of dough onto a baking sheet, 1–1.5 cm wide and 6–7 cm long.

Bake the cookies in the oven for the first 20 minutes at a temperature of 190–200 °C. Then lower the temperature to 175 °C and bake for another 10–15 minutes. Baking time depends on your oven.

Prepare the cream. Place sour cream in a bowl.

Add powdered sugar and stir.

Place a layer of biscuits in a pan with removable sides.

Generously spread the layer of biscuits with sour cream frosting.

Place the second layer of cookies on top.

Spread the top layer with cream. Cover the cake with a plate and place a weight on it. Chill for 4–5 hours.
