
Prune cake
Description
Make a prunes cake for a celebration—guests will be delighted! Prunes are not often used in baking, so be sure to try this one! Good luck. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

1. Prepare the ingredients for the cake.

2. Separate the eggs into whites and yolks. Mix the yolks with sugar.

3. Add kefir and mix with a whisk.

4. Add flour, cocoa, and baking soda. Pour vinegar into the batter. Mix with a whisk.

5. The dough should be very thick and sticky.

6. In a separate container, beat 2 egg whites with a mixer until stiff peaks form. Fold into the batter.

7. The dough is ready. It turns out soft and airy after adding the egg whites.

8. Grease the baking pan. If baking in a multicooker, as I do, use the "bake" setting for 50 minutes. If using an oven, bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.

9. While the sponge cake is baking, prepare the cream. Mix sour cream with finely chopped prunes and sugar.

10. The cake sponge is ready. Let it cool.

11. Cut the sponge cake in half horizontally. I do this with a thread.

12. Generously spread the prune and sour cream cream over the cake layer. Top with the second layer, pressing down slightly.

13. To decorate the prune cake, use icing (beat one egg white until stiff peaks form, then mix in half a cup of powdered sugar) and red currant berries.
