Cherry Cake

Description

Delicious baking for the whole family. For this cake you can use either fresh cherries or frozen ones. Preparation: Grease a low-sided pan with butter and set aside. Cream the butter and 100 g of sugar in a bowl. Beat the remaining sugar and eggs into a thick foam, add chopped nuts, grated lemon zest, cinnamon and flour. Mix all ingredients until a homogeneous consistency is achieved and add the cherries, stirring so they are evenly distributed throughout the batter. Pour the batter into the pan. Place the pan in the oven and bake the cake for 25–30 minutes at 180–200 °C. Let the cake cool and, if desired, decorate with cherry jam. It can be served with tea or coffee.
