Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

First, we prepare the dough. To do this, mix sour cream with baking soda. In a separate bowl, mix softened butter with sugar, then add the sour cream mixture with baking soda. Gradually start adding flour to the resulting mixture and knead the dough. Place the finished dough in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Now we pass the dough through a meat grinder and place it onto baking paper. Put the baking sheet with the dough into a preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake until golden brown, approximately 10-15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

We take out the ready-made dough worms, and when they cool down, we break them into small pieces.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Put 200 grams of softened butter into a bowl and beat well. Add about 3/4 of a can of condensed milk, mix and beat again.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Dry walnuts and seeds in the oven, place them into the prepared cream, add crushed pastry crumbs, and mix everything.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Transfer the prepared mixture into a spherical-shaped dish and press it down firmly. Place it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Then take it out and cut off approximately 1/3 of the hemisphere—that will be the head of our ladybug. Cut the larger part into equal pieces—these will be the wings. Spread the remaining condensed milk over the surface of the cake to make it smoother, then place it back into the refrigerator.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

For the fondant, we combine 2/3 of marshmallows with a teaspoon of butter and microwave for half a minute.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

Dissolve red food coloring in vodka.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

Pour the food coloring into the bowl with the marshmallows, mix well, and gradually add the powdered sugar. When it becomes difficult to stir with a spoon, sprinkle the table with powdered sugar, transfer the mixture onto it, and start kneading by hand until you get a pliable, clay-like dough.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

Again, sprinkle the table with powdered sugar and roll out the prepared fondant into a thin sheet, then make a clean cut.

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

Take the cake out of the refrigerator and cover the larger part with fondant.

  12. 12

    Step 12

    Step 12

Smooth the surface of the fondant well, and simply cut off the excess edges.

  13. 13

    Step 13

    Step 13

Now gently press with the dull side of the knife at the point where the wings are folded.

  14. 14

    Step 14

    Step 14

Prepare the brown fondant from the remaining marshmallow in the same way as the red one. Then roll it out and cover the head of our ladybug, trimming off any excess again.

  15. 15

    Step 15

    Step 15

Using the leftover brown fondant, make small circles.

  16. 16

    Step 16

    Step 16

Now moisten one side of the circle with water and attach it to the ladybug's back. Repeat the same with the remaining circles. Use marshmallow to make white fondant and stick it in place for the eyes, then add pupils. Don't forget to make antennae, and optionally, lips as well. Voilà, our ladybug is ready! It's not that difficult after all.
