Cake
Description
The recipe won’t take much time. The “Aladdin” cake is a delicate, tasty, and festive dessert. I bake it for holidays; it requires some effort, but its wonderful flavor is worth the work. I’ve encountered many variations of this cake, but the essential component of each is the additions in the four layers: poppy seeds, raisins, nuts, and cocoa. I’m sharing the recipe, the bake is ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions

Step 1

First, you need to bake the layers. I will use sponge layers. You can whisk all the batter at once and divide it into four parts, or you can do it separately so that the layers turn out equal in height. If you do it separately, then for each layer you need 2 eggs, 120 g of flour, 120 g of sugar, and half a tablespoon of starch.
- 2
Step 2

The eggs must be beaten with sugar until a thick foam forms. Sugar should be added gradually during beating. The batter should be very light and airy, holding its shape well.
- 3
Step 3

Now the flour with starch and raisins should be added to the first part of the dough. Mix gently, pour into a baking pan and bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
- 4
Step 4

Beat the second part of the dough and add the flour with poppy seeds. Bake for 30 minutes at 180 °C.
- 5
Step 5

The third layer will be chocolate, so add cocoa to the flour. Bake the cake layer in the oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
- 6
Step 6

The final layer is nutty; for this, grind the nuts and add them to the dough with flour. Pour into the pan and bake just like all the previous layers.
- 7
Step 7

When all the layers are baked, let them rest overnight. That way they won’t crumble or fall apart during soaking.
- 8
Step 8

Now make the cream. Start with the custard base. Mix condensed milk, milk, and egg. Place it over low heat. Without bringing to a boil, stir in the flour and vanilla sugar and cook until thickened.
- 9
Step 9

Beat the room‑temperature butter until fluffy. Then mix it with the custard base. The cream is ready.
- 10
Step 10

Now you can assemble the cake. Soak each layer with syrup. I drizzle with a spoon. Then spread a layer of cream.
- 11
Step 11

Spread cream over all the layers, and drizzle chocolate topping or chocolate glaze on top. Let the cake rest for a few hours, or better yet, overnight; decorate and serve at the table.
