Description

Homemade sauce is easy and quick to prepare. I'd like to introduce a very original tomato sauce with basil—a light sauce with a Mediterranean, or rather Italian, touch. This sauce is perfect for pasta dishes and pairs wonderfully with grilled vegetables and meat, and slightly less so with seafood. Making tomato sauce with basil is extremely simple—I see no reason not to give it a try! :) The finished sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for several days.

    Prepare the ingredients - wash the tomatoes and basil, peel the garlic.

    Blanch the tomatoes: make cross-shaped cuts, then drop the tomatoes into boiling water for 20 seconds.

    Peel the tomatoes.

    Cut each tomato into 3-4 pieces, place in the blender container. Blend until smooth.

    Finely chop the garlic.

    Sauté the garlic until translucent, stirring occasionally.

    Pour the tomato puree over the garlic.

    Over low heat, bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce until it reaches the desired consistency.
