Tomato sauce from tomato juice
Description
The sauce takes just a few minutes to prepare. The tomato juice sauce turns out delicious and delicate, with a perfect balance of flavors: the natural tartness of tomatoes, a hint of sweetness and spiciness from red pepper, and the bright aroma of basil, which pairs perfectly with tomatoes. From 500 ml of juice, you get approximately 200 grams of sauce, so feel free to double the recipe—you won't regret it. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Make the tomato juice using a juicer or by passing the tomatoes through a meat grinder.
- 2
Step 2

In a skillet, heat the sugar and all the spices well until the sugar begins to melt and the spices release their aroma intensely.
- 3
Step 3

Pour in the tomato juice, add salt to taste, mix and simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- 4
Step 4

To check the sauce for the right consistency, draw a spatula across the bottom of the pan; a clear trail should remain and not fill in quickly.
- 5
Step 5

Transfer the sauce into a sterilized jar and seal with a metal lid. The sauce can be stored in the refrigerator or simply in a cool place.
