
Homemade tomato sauce

Homemade sauce recipe. You can store the finished sauce in the refrigerator or pantry. It's very simple and quick to make. You can adjust its spiciness by adding more garlic or chili. This sauce can be prepared not only for winter, but at any time of the year, which will greatly simplify the process of cooking other dishes using it.

1. Peel the garlic and chop it finely with a knife, to your preferred consistency, but do not use a garlic press, otherwise the garlic will burn in the pan.

2. Wash the tomatoes, make cross-shaped incisions on each one, then pour boiling water over them and leave for 2 minutes. Carefully drain the water and peel the vegetables, then crush them by hand.

3. Pour olive oil into a saucepan or deep skillet, heat it, then add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add tomatoes and mix.

4. Cook over high heat until the tomatoes come to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium and cook until a thick consistency forms. Wash and add herbs (whole stems).
