
Tomato ketchup

Prepare all the ingredients.

Wash the tomatoes and dry them. Cut into 4 parts and remove the stems.

Peel the onion and slice it, also peel the garlic.

Grind the onion, garlic, and tomatoes through a meat grinder. Place the resulting mixture over medium heat and bring to a boil. Cook for about 5 minutes.

Then, to reduce the cooking time of the ketchup, separate the liquid from the tomato mass. Press the chopped tomatoes with a small sieve and scoop out most of the liquid.

Simmer the remaining tomato mixture over medium heat for 15 minutes. Stir constantly.

Then strain through a sieve to remove seeds and skins.

Add ground black pepper and cloves, bay leaf, salt, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for another 10 minutes. At the end, pour in the vinegar.

Pour the ketchup into previously sterilized jars and seal. Turn upside down, wrap in a warm cloth, and leave until completely cooled.
