Tomato paste
Description
Below I will tell you in more detail. Perfectly complements pasta, meat, and vegetables.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Wash the tomatoes, dry them, and sort through. If necessary, cut off any spoiled spots. Cut into medium-sized cubes.
- 3
Step 3

Grind the tomatoes through a juicer. Squeeze the pulp several times to ensure no juice remains in it.
- 4
Step 4

Pour the tomato juice into a saucepan. Place over medium heat and simmer for 5 minutes after boiling. All the tomato pulp will rise to the surface and form a foam.
- 5
Step 5

Carefully strain the tomato juice through a very fine sieve. All the pulp should remain in the sieve, and the liquid should drain off.
- 6
Step 6

Transfer the tomato pulp to a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Cover with a lid and simmer for 30–40 minutes. Stir occasionally. The paste should thicken and all the remaining moisture should evaporate.
- 7
Step 7

Place the tomato paste into clean sterilized jars. Seal tightly with lids, turn upside down, and wrap in a towel. After cooling, store in a cool place.
- 8
Step 8

The tomato paste is ready.
