Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Remove the pits from the cherries. Place in a blender bowl and blend until smooth.

Remove basil leaves from the stems. Peel the garlic and cut it into pieces. Transfer everything to the blender bowl along with the chopped cherries. Add coriander seeds. Blend until smooth.

Transfer the resulting mixture to a saucepan. Place over medium heat and bring to a boil.

After boiling, reduce the heat to minimum. Add salt, sugar, red and black pepper. Simmer from the moment it starts boiling for 5 minutes.
