Tiramisu with cottage cheese
Description
If you don't have classic mascarpone cheese—the one traditionally used in this dessert—on hand, you can always find an alternative. In this case, I suggest making tiramisu with homemade cottage cheese, and the result will be no worse than the original. 1. Start by brewing strong black coffee. For extra flavor, you can add a splash of liqueur or other alcohol, as well as a pinch of vanilla or cinnamon, for example. 2. Mix the cheese with sugar and beat until smooth. 3. Dip the savoiardi (ladyfingers) into the cooled coffee for a few seconds. Then arrange them on the bottom of a dish (you can use one large dish or serve the dessert in individual portions). 4. Spread half of the cheese mixture on top. 5. Add another layer of coffee-soaked savoiardi, then spread the remaining cheese mixture on top. 6. Dust the surface with sifted cocoa powder and refrigerate the dish for about an hour. Here's a budget-friendly and simple version of the classic dessert.
