Tiramisu without cheese

Description

If you want to give the cheeseless tiramisu dessert an interesting flavor and aroma, you can add liqueur or fruit syrup to the coffee soak. You can use either instant or brewed coffee. If you enjoy beautifully presented individual desserts, you can layer the tiramisu in glasses and decorate them to your taste.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

First, prepare the ingredients for the cream. Take two bowls and crack the eggs into them: in one (larger) bowl, separate the egg whites, and in the other, place the yolks. Rub the yolks with sugar until a smooth mixture forms, preferably whipping them slightly until the yolks lighten in color.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Now let's work with the egg whites—beat them until stiff peaks form. To help the egg whites whip better and faster, add a pinch of salt. Gradually add the cream to the whipped egg whites, gently folding it in to prevent the airy mixture from deflating.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Now mix the contents of both bowls. To ensure the yolks with sugar and the whites with cream blend evenly, it's best to use a mixer at medium speed.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Now let's work on the cookies. If you, like me, are using instant coffee, simply dissolve it in warm water and let it cool slightly. Then, dip the cookies into the resulting coffee mixture.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Choose a container in advance for assembling the tiramisu. I used a baking sheet lined with foil, but you can use any suitable dish. Dip the cookies into the coffee and arrange them evenly across the bottom.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Using one-third of the cream, pour it over the first layer of tiramisu, spreading it evenly over the surface of the cookies.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Place the second layer perpendicular to the orientation of the cookies in the first layer—this will give you a smoother dessert surface, as the cream won't run as much into the gaps between the cookies. Spread another third of the cream over the top.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

Make the third layer using the same principle as the second one, and pour the remaining cream over it. Then place the dessert in the refrigerator for several hours to set. It's best to cover it with plastic wrap to prevent the surface from drying out. Once set, remove the tiramisu from the refrigerator, generously dust it with cocoa powder or grated chocolate—and enjoy the wonderful, delicate flavor of your freshly made dessert!
