Tilapia with cheese topping
Description
The recipe won't take much time. This fish is incredibly tasty and definitely worth eating occasionally. Baked tilapia turns out very tender, aromatic, and, most importantly, light. It's perfect for a summer lunch or dinner when you're craving something light. That's why I recommend serving breaded tilapia with Parmesan alongside a light vegetable salad and croutons. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. If you've purchased frozen tilapia fillets, thaw them at room temperature (this will take several hours, so plan accordingly). You can also take the fish out of the freezer and leave it in the refrigerator overnight, but never thaw fish in the microwave.
- 2
Step 2

Place the tilapia fillets in a baking dish greased with vegetable oil and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

While the fish is baking, mix mayonnaise, softened butter (take it out of the refrigerator in advance), lemon juice, all the spices, and grated Parmesan cheese on a fine grater. By the way, you can use not only Parmesan, but any other hard cheese that can be finely grated.

Step 4

Thoroughly mix the resulting mass until it becomes as homogeneous as possible.
- 5
Step 5

Remove the fish from the oven and flip it over. The tilapia is almost done, just needs a little more time. Brush the tilapia fillets with the prepared sauce and return to the oven for another 10-12 minutes.

Step 6

Parmesan-crusted tilapia is ready. Serve hot with a light vegetable salad.
