
Universal yeast dough
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Yeast dough can confidently be called the most versatile, as it can be used to make buns, rolls, pizzas, pies, baguettes, and breadsticks. The main characteristic of yeast dough is that it significantly rises at room temperature and during baking, allowing you to bake very light and airy baked goods. This dough pairs perfectly with various fillings, whether meat or vegetable.

1. Prepare the dough: mix warm water, yeast, salt, and sugar. Add sifted flour and knead the dough for five minutes. Add olive oil and continue kneading for another five minutes.

2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 8–12 hours. Divide the dough into two parts. Roll one part of the dough into a rope and cut it into 16 pieces.

3. Roll each piece into a flatbread and make four small cuts opposite each other. Prepare the filling: cook the rice and mix it with chopped boiled eggs, chopped green onions, dill, salt, and pepper to taste.

4. Place the filling in the center of the flatbread and bring together the opposite edges of the dough. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with a towel, and let rise at room temperature for 1 hour.

5. Brush with beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for 15-20 minutes. From the second part of the dough, roll out a rope and cut it into 16 pieces. Roll each piece into a small rope and tie into a knot.

6. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with a towel, and let rise at room temperature for 1 hour.

7. Brush the buns with beaten egg and place them in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Prepare the butter for the buns: mix olive oil, salt, dried garlic, dried basil, and paprika.
