
Pita dough
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. Pita is an excellent choice for a tasty snack. There's no need to buy ready-made flatbread when you can easily make it yourself. It won't cost you much money or effort. You can prepare several flatbreads at once to use over a few days as needed. Pita is also a great way to pack a delicious and convenient snack for children's school. The baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.

Add the dry active yeast to a bowl, pour in warm water, add granulated sugar, mix and let stand for 2 minutes.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour with salt, add to the liquid ingredients, pour in the vegetable oil, and knead the dough for 2 minutes.

Transfer the dough to a bowl and cover with a towel; let it rest for 1–1.5 hours.

Add a tablespoon of flour and mix the dough. Divide it into 10 equal parts.

Roll each piece into a ball, then roll out into a flatbread about 15 centimeters in diameter, cover, and let rest for a few minutes.

Heat a skillet with a drop of vegetable oil, place the pancake in it and fry for 2 minutes on each side.

Cut the ready pita in half and place your favorite filling into the resulting pocket.
