Pizza dough without oil
Description
The recipe won't take much time. There are as many pizza recipes as there are home cooks, since everyone chooses their own favorite toppings. Yet, for some reason, almost everyone makes the same dough, adding oil because it's believed to make the dough softer and more elastic. However, I'd like to share with you another recipe that, in my opinion, is even better—a pizza dough made without oil, which is my personal preference. After trying numerous variations, I've settled on this one. Yes, it might take a little more time, but the result is outstanding—just like the best pizzas in the finest pizzerias around the world. Therefore, I invite all true pizza lovers to try making oil-free pizza dough at home. I hope you'll enjoy this recipe as much as I do. The baking is done. Serve at the table.

Step 1

First, we will prepare the starter for the dough: mix 2 tablespoons of flour with yeast, add sugar and 2 tablespoons of warm water (about 35 degrees Celsius). Place the bowl with the starter in a warm spot for half an hour.

Step 2

While the starter is rising, we sift the flour and mix it with salt. After 30 minutes, combine the flour with the risen starter. Add 100 ml of warm water and knead the ingredients into a dough. Knead it for quite a long time, about 10–15 minutes, so that it becomes very soft and elastic.

Step 3

Transfer the dough to a bowl, sprinkle with flour, and place in a warm spot for 1 hour.

Step 4

After the allotted time, the dough is ready to be rolled out and baked. To make your pizza even more delicious, you should first bake the crust in the oven for about 3 minutes (at 200 degrees), and only then add the toppings.
