Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. My mom once shared this water-based dough recipe for a chicken pie with me. This water-based dough recipe can also be used for baking other pies, even apple ones, for example. So, keep it in mind. The dough is scalded, which requires some skill to prepare, but it's actually easy and quick to make. Plus, it's low in calories. Chicken is also not a very fatty meat, and if you add lean ingredients to the filling, this pie can be considered quite light and even "diet-friendly" :) Overall, a chicken pie for every taste! Now, let's prepare the water-based dough for the chicken pie: 1. Sift the flour and add salt and sugar to it. 2. Add oil to the water and heat until boiling (but do not boil). 3. Gradually add the sifted flour to the hot water, stirring with a fork (because it's hot!). 4. Once it cools down slightly, continue kneading by hand. 5. Knead the dough until soft, not stiff. Dust with flour, cover with a towel, and let it rest for about 15 minutes. 6. The dough is ready! Divide it into two parts and shape the pie as usual. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
