
Dough for kalitki
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. I prepared the dough for twenty minutes. Kalitki are an amazing Karelian dish surrounded by many legends. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

1. To prepare the dough, you will need rye and wheat flour, as well as sour milk (kefir), a glass of water, and sour cream. Mix all these ingredients and season the dough with salt.

2. Grease your hands with vegetable oil and knead the stiff dough thoroughly so that it doesn't stick to your hands.

3. The dough rolls out easily.

4. Cut out round shapes (I use a glass), roll up the scraps and reuse the dough to make more shapes for the calzones.

5. This is how they turn out when placed in the oven. The dough is elastic and firm, yet easy to roll out at the same time. This is what the classic dough recipe for kalitki looks like.
