Raspberry Crumb Pie
Description
You can make a grated pie with currants at home any time of the year. In summer, you can use fresh berries, either whole or sieved. For winter, use jam, preserves, or marmalade, for example. The berry's tartness perfectly complements the sweetness of the dough. The baked pie is ready. Serve at the table.

Step 1

1. Put sugar and salt into a deep bowl, add the egg. Add baking soda that has been neutralized with vinegar or lemon juice.
- 2
Step 2

2. Butter or margarine should preferably be softened. You can melt it completely, but it's better to use slightly thawed margarine for the recipe of grated pie with currants, taking it out of the refrigerator in advance.
- 3
Step 3

3. Start beating the mixture until it becomes smooth and uniform.
- 4
Step 4

4. Add the flour gradually to avoid making the dough too dense. Knead constantly until it becomes smooth and soft. After that, place about one third of the dough into a plastic bag and put it in the freezer.
- 5
Step 5

5. The remaining dough should be kneaded by hand directly on the baking sheet or in the baking dish to form an even crust. There's no need to roll it out, as the dough is very pliable.
- 6
Step 6

6. Place the currants on the dough and spread them evenly. The amount of filling depends on your taste preferences.
- 7
Step 7

7. Slightly frozen dough grate on a grater and sprinkle over the berry filling.
- 8
Step 8

8. That's practically the entire simple recipe for a grated pie with currants. All that's left is to put the baking sheet into a preheated oven and bake for about half an hour. Let it cool completely, then cut into portion-sized pieces.
