Grated jam pie made with margarine
Description
Dough for a grated pie made with margarine turns out very tasty and more crumbly; besides, it is much cheaper than butter. You can use any fruit or berry jam, moderately thick. Jam or fruit butter also works well. It can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. I will use “Five-Minute” apple jam.
- 2
Step 2

First crack a large chicken egg into a deep bowl, add the sugar, and whisk with a whisk for 3–4 minutes until the mixture turns pale.
- 3
Step 3

Grate the margarine on a coarse grater.
- 4
Step 4

Sift the flour and add it to the bowl together with the baking powder, a pinch of salt, and vanilla extract or essence. Begin kneading the dough.
- 5
Step 5

At first you will have crumbs, which will come together into soft, elastic dough as you knead.
- 6
Step 6

Divide the dough into two halves—a larger and a smaller one. Put the smaller half in a food bag and place it in the freezer for now. Roll out the larger half on parchment, transfer it directly onto a baking sheet, and arrange apple slices on top, slightly overlapping.

Step 7

Grate the slightly frozen second part of the dough on a coarse grater so that it almost completely covers the layer of apple slices. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 190 degrees in top and bottom heat mode for about 20-25 minutes. But it's better to keep an eye on your appliance. As soon as the crumble on the pie is nicely browned — it's done.

Step 8

Cool the grated jam pie made with margarine on a wire rack, then cut into serving-size pieces. Serve with tea, aromatic coffee, or milk.
