Chicken Terrine

Description

A delicious appetizer for any gathering. This tasty French dish is nothing other than a meat terrine. Most often, terrine is made in a rectangular mold. Vegetables, nuts, and olives are added to the ground meat. This recipe explains how to make it. It can be served warm or chilled.

    We will need approximately 400–500 grams of chicken meat, in addition to the chicken breast. Separate the meat from the skin and bones, cut it into pieces, and grind it with a blender or a meat grinder.

    Peel the onion and garlic and chop them finely.

    Add the cream, onion, garlic, and starch to the ground chicken and mix thoroughly.

    Cut the chicken breast fillets into small pieces.

    Cut the ham into small cubes.

    Shell the pistachios and lightly chop them.

    Now mix the ground meat, pieces of fillet and ham, and the pistachios. Add the egg, spices, and salt.

    Line a rectangular mold with foil, place the minced meat into it, spread it out carefully, and lay bay leaves on top.

    Cover the terrine with foil and place it in another mold (slightly larger). Pour water into the larger mold until it reaches halfway up the smaller one.

    And bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for 45 minutes. Remove the bay leaf and bake for another 15 minutes without foil. Slice the finished terrine while cold and serve at the table.
