Tilefish in the oven
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Like any sea fish, buffalofish is excellent when baked in the oven. It has few bones, and the meat is very tasty, sometimes slightly greenish or yellowish. It's usually sold frozen, so before cooking, you'll need to defrost and rinse it. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Peel the carrot and grate it on a coarse grater (or even better, on a Korean carrot grater). Place it in a baking dish.
- 3
Step 3

Slice the onion into half-rings and place on top of the carrots.
- 4
Step 4

Slice the potatoes into medium-thick rounds and place them on top of the onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Repeat all the layers once more: carrots, onion, potatoes. Season with salt and pepper.
- 5
Step 5

In a bowl, mix sour cream, walnut seasoning, salt and pepper to taste, dried herbs, lemon juice, two-thirds of a cup of water, and 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Mix thoroughly.
- 6
Step 6

Dip the fish pieces well into the sour cream mixture, then place the sculpin over the potatoes. Pour the sour cream over both the fish and potatoes. Bake in a preheated oven at 190-200°C for 35-45 minutes, or until fully cooked.

Step 7

Then sprinkle with grated cheese and return the fish to the oven until the cheese is golden brown. Serve with a vegetable salad and garnish with fresh herbs.
