Beef in a pot
Description
Beef in a pot is a convenient individual portion dish that can be stored in the refrigerator for several days. And if you prepare it with a side dish right away, your complete lunch or dinner will be ready. So here's my signature recipe for beef in a pot—I hope you'll find it useful ;)

Step 1

1. To prepare veal in a casserole, start with the meat. Wash and dry it thoroughly. Cut into portion-sized pieces and place in a frying pan with well-heated vegetable oil.

Step 2

2. The meat needs to be seared over high heat until a brown crust forms.

Step 3

3. Remove the meat from the pan and set aside. Add a little broth, water, or dry wine to the pan. Lightly season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and simmer for 2–3 minutes.

Step 4

4. The pots can be made with meat only, but it's tastier to add potatoes as well. Wash and peel the potatoes, cut them into small cubes, and lightly salt. Place the potatoes at the bottom of each pot.

Step 5

5. Place the fried meat on top. The pot should be filled almost to the top.

Step 6

6. Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes. You can sauté it beforehand, but this is not necessary. Place a little onion into each casserole dish. Pour the broth from the frying pan over it. Top with a small piece of butter. Place in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius. The veal in the casserole dish will be ready in 50–60 minutes.
