Beef stewed with prunes
Description
Everyone has their own idea of how to cook meat deliciously. For example, my mom can't stand it when there are dried fruits in meat, but I, on the contrary, really like them. That's why today I'll tell you how to prepare veal stewed with prunes. This dish turns out very filling, with a rich, vibrant flavor and an amazing aroma. The meat itself becomes so tasty that you can even serve it on a festive table, which I've done more than once. True, this veal recipe with prunes will take quite some time, but I think it's definitely worth the effort.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, the meat needs to be washed and dried with paper towels. After that, place the veal into preheated vegetable oil and sear until a golden-brown crust forms.
- 2
Step 2

Transfer the fried meat to a clean plate.
- 3
Step 3

Then we peel the vegetables, slice the carrots into rounds, the garlic into slices, and the onion into quarter-rings. Place the vegetables into the skillet where the meat was previously fried, and sauté until golden. Season the vegetables with salt, spices, and add a little water to the skillet if needed.

Step 4

As soon as the onion softens and turns golden, add the veal to the skillet.
- 5
Step 5

Pour the broth or water over the veal and vegetables so that the liquid almost completely covers the meat. Simmer the veal, covered, over low heat for 40-50 minutes.

Step 6

After that, taste the broth and add more salt and spices if necessary, then sprinkle in the sugar. Add the previously rinsed prunes to the skillet, mix everything together, and simmer the meat for another 20–30 minutes, until the prunes become soft.

Step 7

By this time, the meat should have softened and become tender and juicy, so now you can serve the finished dish. Enjoy your meal!
