Veal with quince
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. I personally came up with the recipe for veal with quince, without looking into any cookbooks. I really enjoyed the combination of tender veal with slightly tart quince. I wouldn't say this dish has become a family favorite or a regular on our table, but for variety's sake, it's worth making once a year :) You can adjust the quantity or even the ingredients themselves as desired. Good luck! The dish is ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

We clean young potatoes with a brush, cut them in half, and boil until cooked.

Step 2

Cut the quince into wedges and the onion into thin half-rings. Sauté for 3-4 minutes, then add honey and vinegar, stir, and simmer for another 3-4 minutes.

Step 3

The sauce should thicken. When it thickens, remove from heat.

Step 4

Transfer the sauce to another container, then in the skillet sear the veal cut into small pieces until a crust forms. Once the crust appears, pour in the wine, add rosemary, and simmer until the meat is cooked.

Step 5

Place the potatoes and meat on a serving dish and pour over the sweet quince sauce. If desired, for added presentation, drizzle with balsamic cream.
