Beef tenderloin
Description
The recipe won't take much time. The tenderloin can be pan-fried or baked in the oven. Serve the cooked tenderloin hot with a side dish, or cold with sandwiches, sliced into pieces. This meat goes well with berry sauce, fruit, or vegetables. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Wash the tenderloin and pat it dry with paper towels, then tie it with natural string to help the tenderloin keep its shape.
- 2
Step 2
Place butter in a skillet and add olive oil, heat well, then add the tenderloin to the skillet.
- 3
Step 3
Sear over high heat until golden brown on all sides. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees and transfer the skillet to the oven, cook for 25 minutes.
- 4
Step 4
Take the skillet out of the oven and transfer the meat to a plate, cover it with foil; this way it will stay tender.
- 5
Step 5
Return the skillet to the heat, add the finely chopped garlic and salt, pour in the orange juice and maple syrup, add the rosemary, and mix well.
- 6
Step 6
Cook the sauce until a thick mixture forms. Peel the orange and divide it into segments, remove the white membranes, add the pieces to the sauce, heat for a few minutes, then remove from heat.
- 7
Step 7
Cut the tenderloin into pieces about 1 centimeter thick, serve with green peas, barley, and orange slices, and drizzle with sauce.
