
Meatballs in tomato sauce

Place the minced meat in a ceramic bowl. You can use minced meat of any kind, but for children it's preferable to use rabbit, beef, or chicken. Peel the onion and garlic. Finely chop them. Add the garlic to the minced meat raw, and fry the onion in a pan beforehand.

Break the bread (you can use stale baguette or bun) into pieces by hand and soak in milk for half an hour. Then squeeze out the excess milk and add to the meat mixture. Add a chicken egg, grated hard cheese, and finely chopped parsley.

Season the ground meat with salt and pepper to taste. Then mix thoroughly until uniform. With your hands, shape into small meatballs.

Preparing the sauce won't take much of your time. It's extremely simple. Mix tomato paste and olive oil in a bowl. Add some water to make the marinade more liquid. Salt to taste.

Place the meatballs into a heatproof dish, which should be previously greased with vegetable oil. Then pour tomato sauce over them. Put into a preheated oven at 200 degrees and bake for forty minutes.
