Meatballs in sour cream sauce in a multicooker
Description
You can add not only rice to meatballs, but also other grains of your choice. Some of them should be pre-cooked until half-done, while others, like couscous, can be added raw or soaked with boiling water.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Add the soaked couscous and finely chopped onion (1 piece) to the minced meat. Add the egg, season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix the mince thoroughly.
- 3
Step 3

With wet hands, roll the meatballs to medium size.
- 4
Step 4

Grease the multicooker bowl with oil and place a layer of thinly sliced onions. Put the meatballs on top. Sprinkle with more onions and arrange a second layer.
- 5
Step 5

On the "Baking" setting, cook the meatballs until they hold together and the bottom is lightly browned – 15-20 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

Mix sour cream with starch and slightly dilute with water, about 50 ml. Pour over the meatballs, carefully coating each one. Sprinkle with pepper and your favorite herbs. Cook on the "Simmer" setting for 15 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

Then switch the multicooker to the keep-warm mode for 10 minutes. This will give the sauce a pleasant velvety texture.
- 8
Step 8

Serve the meatballs hot, with sauce and a side dish of your choice.
