Meatballs in sweet and sour sauce
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Meatballs are a traditional Russian dish. What if we add a little twist to it? I think it's a great idea! The combination of wine, meat, and dried fruits will win everyone over. For preparing meatballs in sweet and sour sauce, it's best to use wine instead of vinegar—it will give a richer, more intense flavor. Dry white wine is an excellent choice. I recommend making the minced meat at home—it's more reliable. Recipe: 1. Pass the meat through a meat grinder. Add spices and finely chopped onion to the minced meat. 2. Mix the meat with boiled rice and minced garlic. 3. Finely chop another onion and sauté it in sunflower oil until golden. Add it to the meat mixture. 4. Shape small balls, preferably rolling them in flour. Then fry them in a pan until golden brown. Place them into a pot. 5. Prepare the sauce: sauté finely chopped onion and grated carrot in sunflower oil. Add one tablespoon of flour, plum juice, and finely chopped prunes to the vegetables. Simmer for about 5 minutes. 6. Pour wine into the sauce and add spices. Cook until a sweet and sour flavor develops. 7. Pour the prepared sauce over the meatballs in the pot and simmer on low heat until fully cooked (you can also cook it in the oven). Done! Sweet and sour meatballs are now on your table. Serve hot.
