Meatballs with sauce baked in the oven
Description
I really enjoy working with meat, and meatballs are one of my favorite dishes, especially this simple recipe for meatballs with sauce baked in the oven. When prepared this way, meatballs turn out juicier and tenderer, and they're also healthier since we don't fry them in a pan. In fact, this dish will appeal to absolutely everyone—children will love the flavorful meatballs in sauce too. Plus, baking in the oven is much easier in my opinion than cooking on the stovetop, and it's especially nice not having to clean up greasy splatters from the stove afterward. Overall, if you want to quickly prepare a delicious and satisfying dinner for the whole family, you won't find a better recipe. Now I'll show you how to make oven-baked meatballs with sauce.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, we need to cook the rice, so thoroughly rinse it several times, then place it on low heat to simmer. When the rice is half-cooked, turn off the heat, drain the water, and let it cool slightly. Then rinse it again and mix with the ground meat.
- 2
Step 2

Add eggs and one teaspoon each of salt, pepper, and meat spices.
- 3
Step 3

Very carefully mix all the ingredients until smooth.
- 4
Step 4

Form small meatballs from the prepared minced meat and place them in a baking dish.
- 5
Step 5

Finely chop the onion and grate the carrot on a coarse grater. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and sauté the onion first, then add the carrot. Cook until the vegetables become soft.
- 6
Step 6

Pour a glass of water into the frying pan, add sour cream, a teaspoon of salt, and all the remaining spices. Mix thoroughly and bring to a boil, then turn off the heat.
- 7
Step 7

Now we need to pour water into the baking dish with the meatballs so that the liquid reaches halfway up the meatballs. Then add the sauce, and on top place the minced garlic. In the end, the liquid should completely cover the meatballs.

Step 8

Now tightly wrap the baking dish with foil on all sides and place it in a preheated oven at 225 degrees for one hour. After half an hour, you can unwrap the foil, taste the sauce for salt and pepper, and add water if needed. Serve the cooked meatballs with any side dish of your choice.
