
Turkey meatballs with sauce
Description
Meatballs are one of the most popular dishes on our dining tables, alongside regular cutlets. Turkey meatballs are dietary and suitable for children's meals. Pour a delicious sour cream sauce over the side dish. This is a simple and very tasty dish. If you don't like garlic and basil, you can omit them and stick to just salt.

Prepare the ingredients for making meatballs.

Place the turkey mince into a bowl. Add the egg. Pour boiled, cooled water over the bread roll and, after 5 minutes, squeeze out the excess liquid. Peel and wash the onion and garlic. Pass the bread roll, onion, and garlic through a meat grinder. Add salt and dried basil.

Thoroughly mix the meatball mixture.

Prepare the sauce. Peel and wash the carrot and one onion. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrot. Place them in a deep frying pan or saucepan.

Pour in the sunflower oil, 2-3 tablespoons of broth or water. Cover with a lid and simmer the vegetables for 5-7 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.

Add salt to taste, sugar, and flour.

Place the sour cream.

Pour 300-350 ml of water and mix the sauce well.

Form round balls from the prepared minced meat. Place the meatballs into a saucepan with the sauce. Add bay leaf.

Cover the skillet with a lid and simmer the meatballs in the sauce over medium heat for 25–30 minutes, until cooked through.
